Temporary Executive Committee

Four founders steer the society during its founding period, from 2026 to 2028.

The committee hands over to an elected Board of Directors in 2028. Its decisions are minuted and shared with the founding members.

Standing committees

Six committees carry out the society’s work. Each includes members from several institutions and at least one member who is not a physician.

• Awareness and Education. Public campaigns and educational material.
• Research and Grants. Research priorities and the Research Fund.
• Patient Support and Aid. The Patient Fund and its eligibility rules.
• Conference and Tumor Board. Scientific meetings and the national tumor board.
• Membership and Professional Development. Membership and continuing education.
• Fundraising and Partnerships. Donors and partner organisations.

After the founding period

The General Assembly of members is the society’s highest authority. It elects a Board of Directors with a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary and a Treasurer. Board terms last three years.

Ethics

Every member, officer and employee discloses conflicts of interest. The society keeps a register of these disclosures. Anyone can report a suspected breach of our rules in confidence, and the society protects people who report in good faith.
